Kebabs have come to occupy a special place in British culture, and eatery What The Pitta serves up meatless twists on this classic grub. Their handmade döners are packed with meaty soy pieces that are spiced to perfection. In fact, this eatery is a cult classic amongst vegans as well as non-vegans. Regulars and travelers alike regularly fill this place for all the right reasons. Member @Tillymjo says, “It's no surprise this place won the kebab of the year awards... this was fantastic! The döner 'meat' was spot on and complemented very well by the fresh veg and sauces (I went with burger sauce and garlic aioli). It was also wrapped very well with no leakages at all; this was especially impressive given that there was a lot of sauce in this wrap.”
